A win-win collaboration
For many food businesses, farmers markets are their primary sales channel. For some, they can be a stepping stone enroute to large grocery (chains) or bigger markets. And for others, they do both, what we call a blended sales & margin strategy – these food businesses do large capacity sales through grocery accounts and continue with farmers markets with higher margins, and the ability to launch/test new products or do short run items.
For quite a few years, Farm Food Drink has collaborated with the British Columbia Association of Farmers’ Markets (BCAFM) to support their members in their business efforts. We are excited to again work with their dedicated team by providing some valuable marketing offers for their vendors.
Simple & Effective
Marketing your business can be overwhelming because there are so many things to consider. To help BCAFM members, Farm Food Drink has designed some simple offerings that can make a huge difference in how your brand is perceived and how to get potential customers to take action.
- Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) Set-up and Guide
This powerful, free SEO (search engine optimization) tool helps you get more easily found in online search results. We’ll help you optimize your profile, and show you how to use it effectively.
- Landing Page Redesign
The primary webpage you send people to should give a positive first impression. We’ll help you ensure it’s enticing, engaging, and has just the right information to move them closer to a sale.
- Branded Roll-up or Vinyl Banner Design
Professionally designed signage can draw those curious eyes to your booth or table. Our expert graphic design team can ensure you get noticed with the right images and information.
BCAFM members benefit from significant discounts for these opportunities to enhance your marketing effectiveness. Visit our website for more details about these current Vendor Offers.
Workshops for Vendors
To further support the BCAFM membership, Farm Food Drink also offers workshops designed specifically for this vendor audience. Topics that can be covered include:
- How to conduct easy, low-cost, and quick market research to help make business and marketing decisions
- How to track and manage finances at different times throughout the year to support business planning that leads to profitability
- How to develop and implement a simple, lean marketing campaign with limited resources to attract more buyers.
We recently offered a “Marketing Tune-up” workshop in midsummer to show how to do a quick review of your marketing activities during your busy season. It offers immediate actionable and impactful suggestions to help optimize sales before the season ends. We will likely offer it again in summer 2024. (Contact us if you’re interested)
Industry Partners
We recognize the role BCAFM has as an incubator for farm and food businesses across the province, and are grateful and proud for the work we’ve done and continue to do to support the Association and its vendors.
BCAFM is just one of many BC food industry players that we collaborate with, all in an effort to do good work with good people doing good things.
Contact us if you’d like to discuss how we can work together to support BC growers and processors and promote our local food economy.
If you're a good person doing good things with food, we want to hear from you!
