Venture-Capital Ready Program

The Venture-Capital Ready Program was funded by the federal Women’s Enterprise Strategy and offered by the Small Scale Food Processor Association (SSFPA). The SSFPA is an advocate who works to ensure that the unique perspectives and needs of small and medium processors and growers are heard and acted upon.

The last iteration of this program was widely successful, but allowed for broader, less focused service delivery. Learning from our previous program, the NEW Venture-Capital Ready was streamlined to better serve and guide our targeted women entrepreneurs. Designed for market-tested, women-led businesses, it aimed to ensure entrepreneurs were prepared and confident for the investment process. Farm Food Drink designed the program process and curriculum, as well as managed communications and marketing, and played a key role in program delivery, alongside the Program Manager, Janet Dean (Executive Director of the Territorial Agrifood Association).
